Sometimes I Really Hate Natalie Portman

Picture perfect
You will probably think I'm being silly but some days, I really hate Natalie Portman, with her perfect hair, perfect eyelashes, perfect pout.  She's always arranged 'just so', on the perfect sofa, holding perfect flowers, her perfect body in perfect silk.  Why is that?  Wait...something, something, Dior? Stylists?  She gets paid to look that way?  Oh, well.  Okay, no, I'm not obsessed.  But just for the record, in that psycho thriller, you know the dark bird one?  I thought Mila was, like, way better.

Myself, I'm dressed in a similar black nightie, I can lay 'just so' on my sofa too... but I'm staring at week old flowers that wilted far too early, thanks to my mother's obsessiveness with the 'English weather'.  It's too cold, can you get 'that man' to turn the heating up?   I have to remind her that, there is no 'man' and the butler's rope really is broken.   And I should throw out those flowers before my neighbours complain about that 'dead-rat' aroma permeating through the walls.  There's only some much a bottle of Penhaligon's perfume can cover up.

Anyhow, this weekend plans?  Aside from arranging myself perfectly on the sofa?  I am happy to report it'll be an assortment of the following leisurely activities:

1. SPA treatment *ahem*  Necessary evil of city life.
2. Sleeping elegantly, possibly includes a dream sequence of Tom Hardy for my manuscript.
3. Enthusiastic Gym session.  Followed by more SPA.  Followed by writing.
4. Perfecting greek poses.  Followed by reading.  Possibly, a steam and sauna session.
5. Writing. Writing. Sleeping.  Eating. Sleep-Writing.

That's me done.  How about you?  What's on this weekend?
- T xo

PS:  Do not fear, no pictures of Natalie were defaced during the crafting of this post...honestly.

I don't hate Natalie but don't get me started on Anne Hathaway! Hate her. Maybe it's one too many viewings of The Princess Diaries.

As for my weekend, it's all end of year choir concerts, dinner parties and tennis but sadly no spa!

She is very pretty but I know what you mean about those make-believe advertisements. I am pretty sure that the number of times I held a bouquet while vegging on my couch is zero.
Spa sounds good Talei, enjoy :-)))

I plan to do lots of writing, too, both on my novel and the freelance projects. And maybe sneak in a nap or two!

My guess is that sometimes Natalie hates us, because we can let our flowers die, and leave the house without wearing makeup, and go grocery shopping, work in the garden and burn the cookies, without the press reporting it.

I get to work on a school report with my daughter: buy poster board, help her research an explorer etc.

It doesn't sound nearly as exciting as what you have planned.

Haha. Well, I really like Ms Portman, this is very tongue in cheek. Anne Hathaway, on the other hand... annoying. Especially in the Devil wears Prada!!

Enjoy your concerts, dinner and tennis - sounds splendid!!! xo

Thanks lovely lady, I'm looking forward to a little quiet time and just... relaxing. Hope you are well! xo

*high fives* Here's to getting back to writing again. Naps mandatory too!! xo

Well, that's true, we are lucky that way. She's pretty low-key though, methinks, I don't know if she gets 'papped' in the way others do. And I do actually love the Dior ads. ;-)) x

Still quality time with your daughter is priceless! It's those quiet normal moments that we forget about until they outgrow us.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! ;-)) x

I hate all actresses who spend their every waking moment working out, perfecting their bodies, paying for a tuck here a little 'tox there, eating absolutely nothing and the totally lying and saying they eat sensibly and exercise regularly. Please darling, give me a break! But I will take that perfect couch, flowers and I'd add a lovely glass of champers! xoxox
PS.cute and entertaining as always!

"...a tuck.. and a little tox' - LOVE it! Thank you, so glad you enjoyed! And agreed. Why do some folks feel the need to pretend they do not work out? Tres strange. *yawn*

Happy writing this weekend my friend. I'll be on the sofa, champers in hand, by the end of today as well! *clink clink* XO
She is really lovely, isn't she? And I'm with the first commenter about Ann Hathaway. Now there is an annoying actress! Ugh. Not sure how she made it so big.

Sounds like an elegant, relaxing weekend! I hope it's lovely!

Indeed, she's lovely and elegant. Pity about Ms Hathaway, she's not popular on this post. And its a mystery how some people seem to make it in Hollywood. *winks* ;-)

Strangely, saturday has been insane, locked myself out of home earlier... *deep sigh* BUT I did manage to enjoy a fab massage at the spa this eve, so it's all good.

She's just "too" perfect for me. High maintenance, I'm sure.
I'm much more attracted to Mila Kunis. She seems to be more like somebody you might actually meet on the street.

Ah, they're definitely opposites in terms of looks and image. I do love Natalie's classic looks but she does seem a little serious. Mila, is beautiful too and down to earth. I LOVE that she went out on a date with that marine who asked her out via youtube! ( http://bbc.in/vsSIOY)

Haha, enjoyed this post. Yep, Natalie is gorgeous. But we're writers and we have other things to do besides look pretty. :)

Thanks Carol! We are FAR TOO busy to bother with trivial things! x
