Celebrating the Paperback Release of 'Who is Mr Satoshi?'

Jonathan Lee's debut novel ' Who is Mr Satoshi?' is now available in paperback!  I read this lovely book last Autumn.  In one sitting!  Here's an excerpt of my review: "Central to the story is Foss, a talented photographer who has withdrawn from society; his creative juices in a state of limbo since the tragic loss of his wife.  'Who is Mr Satoshi?' draws Foss from the comforts of his broken down reclusive life in England, and thrusts him on a plane to Japan to help solve a mystery left by his own mothers death."  The read more, jump here...

To celebrate the paperback release, I have one brand new copy of the book to giveaway to a lucky reader! All you have to do is answer the following 3 questions correctly to be entered into the draw, and leave a contact email address.

Contest Questions:
1. What is name of the famous fish market in Tokyo?
2. Which Japanese author wrote 'Never let me go'?
3. What is Japanese sake made from?

Contest is open: To everyone on this beautiful planet
Contest ends: Thursday 14 July - Midnight GMT and I will draw a winning name from the correct entries!  The Winner will be contacted via email and announced on my blog next Friday!  Now go to it!  Let me know your answers and contact email address in the comments section.

A/N: I am back from Milan, which was hot and lovely and very busy.  I shall write another post on Milan in the near future, meanwhile...London has welcomed me back with rain!  This weekends plans, of course require sunshine, - a BBQ and picnic?  Ever the optimist.  Have a lovely time where ever you are! Whats on your diary this weekend?  Talei xox

ok, I could cheat and look it up, but I won't since that would be, well, cheating! I do not know the answer to #1. I did, however, read Never Let Me Go (sadly my son has the book so I can't even go look in my bookcase!) and I believe he also wrote The Remains of the Day but I cannot remember his name. I'm pretty sure sake is made from rice. But not positive.

1. The fish market is Tsukiji (I was in Tokyo for 24 wonderful hours and never made it anywhere close to the fish market)
2.The author of "Never Let me go"? Kazuo Ishiguro. I've never read the book and it's not even one I remember from my BnN days although I do remember him from "Remains of the Day" and "Nocturnes"
3. And saki is made of Rice. I've never had it but I did know what it was made of without having to look it up.
And I am actually assuming you don't mind if we look them up because I had no clue about the first two until I did and I think the real point is the drawing, yes? If not then, you can put my name in your doesn't have a clue hat. (lol)

Glad you had a lovely time!!! Time for a drink! Perhaps a Vermouth Cassis tonight... *clink*

MsHatch, aw - its fine to look up! Come on, how do we learn these days? ;-)

Danette, * hair flicks* you, my lovely friend, do not belong in the 'clueless hat'! Vermouth cassis? hmm, now there's a thought! * clink clink* ;-)
I could retype those answers but too lazy...still entered? I'm a sloth like that. Id love some rain...in Vegas there are no clouds to be seen. Which means pool all weekend...which is where I'm at at thus very mo. no vermouth...just my diet cokey. Cheers.

Hey! Tsukiji fish market is awesome!! I was fascinated by the fresh sea life in abundance everywhere. One of the best meals I've ever had was standing to the side of a stall with a bowl full of steaming fresh fish and noodles! YUM!
And I didn't know the answer to Q2 without googling it. But I did know sake is made from rice.

Sounds like a fun story! Also, glad to see your Milano trip was lovely. :)

Hi Talei,

This book looks fab! Thanks for this awesome opp. I lived in Japan for nearly four years and it's where my heart lies :) Here are my answers;

1 The fish market in Tokyo - Tsukiji. Once headed there at 4am after an all nighter, and as a vegetarian it was quite the experience.

2 Never Let Me Go is by Kazuo Ishiguro. I had to read this for my A Level English class and did not appreciate it at all back then. Now that I'm "grown up" I think it's wonderful!

3 Sake is made from rice. Yummy.
