P is for Pirates and Princesses
"You're pirates. Hang the code, and hang the rules.
They're more like guidelines anyway."
-Elizabeth Swann, Pirates of the Carribbean

Who can resist the roguish charm of a pirate? Very few, my friends, very few. J'adore a good pirate adventure, they're always filled with mystery and intrigue, treasure chests and oh, rum? And, of course barrels of witty pirate repartee. Pirates certainly live the high life, sailing the seven seas on swashbuckling adventures, chasing treasure maps, fighting off rival pirates, more villainous than themselves, and when they are not crossing blades? Why, -they are sweet talking a bevy of beautiful blue blooded belles. I may have fluttered my eyelashes whilst writing that last sentence, I cannot deny it. See - how affected I am by these rogues?
Shall we talk about the locations of these romances, ahem, I mean adventures? Madagascar, Jamaica, Mexico, New Orleans, Java, the South Pacific... (le sigh) Pirates, adventure and romance.. makes me want throw down my pen, grab my favourite cutlass, and large floppy pirate hat, have the maid pack my steamer trunks, and run headfirst along the docks to board the nearest cutter. How about you? Are you partial to an adventure on the high seas?

but to be honest - I'm afraid of deep waters, so no pirate adventures for me :(
One of my very first stories was about pirates!
But I'd follow Orlando Bloom just about anywhere, pirate or elf. I'm not picky.
Just reading yesterday that the producers didn't like the way Johnny Depp played Sparrow and said it wouldn't fly, ha ha. Johnny proved them wrong.
