D is for Drunk Dialling,-like, Don't do it?
How does that little dance play out again? You're at a fabulous party, having fun and meet someone you 'like', -you 'click', exchange numbers and before you know - well...you're dialling, texting, messaging, facebooking, you're like, you know, everything -'thing'ing'... Hands up those of you who haven't been there? Come on, honestly...show of hands please! That's better. The thing is, when you're young - you're pretty damn hot, you are invincible, -you are the answer to Third World Poverty and World Peace. Well, that was the plan.
And, then there are these little reminders - that you're not quite grown-up as you'd like to think. Generally this happens, after you've indulged in a few nightcaps and reach for that phone... a word from the wise...well, not me - that's just a figure of speech. Don't do it. Drunk-dialling someone, especially cute new guy, will lead to a road of...well, embarrassment, and worse, if with an Ex?! It's total, total, irrecoverable shame. Drunk-dialling your family? Possibly gets you ostracised...oh wait, is...that a bad thing?
Let me name that feeling, that follows such er, reckless behaviour...it's-regret. As in, the morning after the night before, that sinking feeling the second you hang up and you can't take back that message! Check out this young lady's call...it's amusing yes, but also a wonderful reminder of what we would all prefer to forget about...because, like -we've all been there...

Cool post...I have received drunk calls, and I can agree with all that you have to say.
Following you from A-Z challenge!
And drunk querying...ouch! I shudder to think! :)
(And thanks for your comment about the cover of my novel - much appreciated!)

I never drunk dialed, thank god, probably because the times I'd get drunk enough to think that was a good idea coincided with the times that I couldn't get my digits to work.

Damyantiwrites, always funny to look back on but at the time... ;-)
Salarsen, ha! I can put my hands up and say that I honestly haven't Facebooked under the influence. ;-) honest!
Wordyliving, hearing you on the texting!! O2 is definitely the root of the evil!
Cheree, wow! Really? That's a whole other level of drunk facebooking. Did your sister get him back?
Bish, it's all the rage these days! ;-)
Ju, you are wise! And thanks for the follow. ;-)
Melissa, face to face is infinitely more rewarding. ;-)
TS, haha! Am guessing your friend went through a number of keys?
Jessica, drunk FB status seems popular today!!
Judy, quite right. Oh dear indeed! We live and learn though.
Magpie, Ha! Good point, I think I recall dropping the phone a couple of times...a long, long time ago... *hides behind hands*
Anne, thank you! Lovely to meet you.
Matthew, it's a ritual..we must endure. Well, a great number of us. ;-)
Jen, hello! Watching is a whole lot more fun - and safer too!
Thursdays Child, ha! Thank you, I tried to follow you back to comment but your link is not working?
India, Haha! Phone in the oven? I hope she didn't turn the oven on in the morning. One of my flatmates would unplug the phone to stop herself from calling. Or, rather stop incoming calls so late at night. ;-)
