H is for Hula Girls

Yesterday, the most interesting email hit my inbox, -it was titled 'Hawaiian Party Pieces'.   You know those  the one-stop-shop-type-party-companies with promises of balloons, hanging faux wallpaper scenes of giant tiki's and beach scenes, plastic lei's' and blow-up palm trees.  We can deliver within 48hours.  So, I thought - why not?  Indeed.  After, all I needed an 'H' word for today, and here it was, falling into my lap.  'H is for Hula Girls', and all those iconic Hawaiian images.

Hibiscus, Pink, Red and Yellow...
Such lovely blooms.

Hawaiian Sunsets
* Deep le sigh*

Dare I mention Hawaiian Shirts,
or Vintage Board shorts?
Go on you know you want to.
You can run around in the house in these,
and no-one need know.

Oh yes.  Cocktails with umbrellas...
Has to be done...

Our lovely Hula Girl, and her ukelele...
Serenading the sunset, waiting to welcome you..
Or, perhaps she's wondering...
How the hell, she can get off this island...

Aloha Lovelies,
Have a wonderful Saturday where ever you are in our lovely global village!

I might be on a sunset beach, but nothing compares to Hawaii....

I have a vintage shirt that was my grandfather's. It actually says made in Hawaii. The buttons are carved pineapples. It's not one of those loud horrid things either. It's beautiful in vibrant shades of sapphire blue. One day I'd like to be able to wear it again.

Someday we will make it to Hawaii! In the meantime, we enjoy the occasional luau themed party!
It's still cold and dreary here. I so want to be there. *sigh*

Hawaii is lovely I'm sure and...except for the hula dances, it all seems so familiar. :)

I'd say she's wondering how to get off the island, and which tourist ran off with her top.

What a fun post! I wouldn't mind being anywhere tropical with a beach right now! And too right about the drinks!!!

Luiz P, me too!! ;-))

Michael, Am loving the sound of your Grandfathers shirt! Especially the buttons. Cannot beat Vintage really, particularly if its handed down with the family, methinks. ;-)

Stephanie, 'Go girlfriend ' - Luau's = FAB FUN!'

Giggles, gorgeous here but could definitely do with le sandy beach and light sea breeze...

Oh Bish, - you live in Paradise already. So very lucky. ;-))

Michelle, agree! I often check for sandy beaches outside my window...alas, they are sadly absent. Still...

Alexia, glad you enjoyed! Thank you.

B's Mom. I hope you get there, what a wonderful retirement plan. ;-)

TS, haha. Dude. You are SO probably, like, right. Was that you?

Jeanne, thank you. I'm an beach holiday kind of person. Always looking for warm destinations.

Danette, thanks darling! Drinks trolley at the pool, this afternoon. ;-)
